The situation in the country is unstable, people loose their homes, more animals end up homeless, in shelters, rescue and on the streets. Lucky ones get a second chance finding a new loving home and the majority go to the pond. If you have available loving room in your home and heart for the elder dog, please

Meet Shrek - a Cane Corso, this poor guy was found as a stray in the inner city of Philadelphia.  He has obviously had a rough time.
Shrek update-
We are grateful for donations to help provide the medical care he needs. We are thrilled to report that Shrek DOES NOT have bone cancer, but instead injury related chanes to his joint and bone that requires a $2500-3000 surgery.  We are happy to share that Shrek has found an amazing foster home who has volunteered to give him the love and care he deserves.

Meet Dakota -a gorgeous 4 year old American Bulldog mix who has had difficult start in life. Dakota was found tied up behind an abandoned building in a drug infested neighborhood in Philadelphia. He was 29 pounds when he was discovered by police and taken in the shelter. He was so weak; he could barely stand and couldn’t really walk until the 3rd day of consistent food. Despite his condition, his tail never stopped wagging and he gave everyone abundant kisses. He is a stunning dog at a healthy 50 pounds.  You would never recognize this dog as the same emaciated pup that first came to us. We are so proud to be a part of Dakota’s story. Dogs like Dakota are truly amazing and special ! Dakota can't wait to find his forever home!

Dakota is looking for a home with good pack leaders who understand that it is as necessary to provide exercise and discipline, as love. He would thrive in a home that understands how to be a confident leader. We believe that he was abused, as he often reacts when you reach for his collar unexpectedly.  He is thankful that he gets the chance to find a patient family that is willing to work with him.

Dakota is great with other dogs and loves to play. He can be a little shy around man at times, but once he knows you is warms up quickly.
